My Arch Enemy

One of my goals this year was to eat healthier and work out more. A few weeks into the New Year, I hurt my foot, and took it easy for about 6 weeks. I never thought I would say this, but during that 6 weeks, I actually MISSED working out!

I have an elliptical and a stationary bike upstairs, so I have no excuse to not work out. Plus, I've cut down on my soda intake. I don't know if I can completely give it up, since I need caffeine! But, I am working on it.

Well, it is now April...and I am proud to say that I have lost 12lbs! I am ecstatic about it! My jeans are MUCH more loose, and actually fell off...in public. Yea, I won't go into detail...but I was mortified! As you can imagine.

I have a few pairs of jeans that I have kept and my goal is to fit into them before we move in October. And hopefully by the end of 2009, those will be falling off as well!

I've started walking two miles three times each week and working out for one hour every other day on my elliptical and bike. Since the sun has finally decided to shine here in Germany, K and I have been taking walks around the block. There is this road (sorry no pic, maybe later) that is extremely hard to walk up. It's a very steep incline, about 500 meters long. My goal is to be able to walk up that hill, pushing K in her stroller with ease. Currently, by the time I make it to the top of the hill, I feel like falling over. As you can imagine, this hill has become my Arch Enemy, but I have great determination and...this hill is going down!

So, what are some of your goals that you'd like to accomplish this year?

Having more balance. I need to have more girlfriend time and me time. I work really hard at home with my business, kids, and housework. I also need to slooow down. I am working on being instead of always doing. breathe....
