Craig Ferguson Meet and Greet

Ok, so I have a total celebrity crush on Craig Ferguson. It all started when we moved here to Germany, and I was confined to just 10 American tv channels. Pregnant and exhausted, I spent hours lying on the couch watching t.v.

I don't know if it's his crazy antics or that Scottish accent, but I was hooked! The great thing is that hubby loves him too, so there was no fighting over the remote.

So when I heard that Craig Ferguson was coming to Germany, I had to wipe the drool from my chin. Seriously, I've got a major crush on the guy! The show was originally scheduled for last Friday, but for some reason it was postponed to today.

No worries though! Hubby and I made a date out of it and went to dinner before the show. After standing in line for an hour, the doors opened and we quickly snagged a great spot on the balcony.

The show was great! I totally loved it. His jokes and imitations had the crowd laughing throughout the whole performance.

Afterwards, we were able to meet Matt Baetz(comedian) and Craig Ferguson aka Hubby #2.

We received a signed head shot for ourselves and Ki'Nani.

Upcoming Review

We have been selected to review an area rug from CSN Rugs!
Our rug should be arriving shortly, but in the meantime, check out there website!

I am in the market for home decor, so when I was contacted by the company about a review, I jumped at the offer! After browsing their site, it was so hard for me to choose which rug to review.

Which one(s) do you like?

The Sassy Ladies Toolkit For Start-up Businesses Giveaway & Review

I was lucky enough to review the latest book from The Sassy Ladies. Their latest book is the book for small businesses, no matter how long you have been in business. Whether you've been in business 3 years or haven't even started yet!

MarieLynn Boutique will celebrate our 2nd Anniversary in August, when I started MarieLynn Boutique, I didn't have a business plan. I had no clue about how to run a business, and I have to tell you, I've made a lot of mistakes along the way. If I had read The Sassy Ladies Toolkit For Start-up Businesses, then I would have had the tools to help with everything from Insurance, Lawyers, Budgeting, etc.

I found the book extremely useful! I've book marked and highlighted numerous areas in the book, so that I can go back and follow-up on the resources that are given. There are also so many excercises to do, which help you decide how many customers you need to reach out to, in order to reach your monetary goals for the year.

Whether you've read numerous books to help you start your business or not, The Sassy Ladies Toolkit For Start-up Businesses is the only book you will need to reach your professional goals.

So how can you get your hands on this book?

Visit The Sassy Ladies website and browse around. Come back here and comment on one thing that you learned while visiting their website.--One Entry per day **The catch is that you must come back with a new fact each day.

Summer

U Printing wants to see your favorite summer photo!
What photo of yours just screams "SUMMER"?
For me, it's this photo that was taken by my parents back in 1986.

What isn't there to love about this photo? To me, it's home. This photo was taken at one of my favorite beaches on Guam. This photo reminds me of who I am and where I come from. When things get unbearable, one look at this photo puts it all in to perspective for me.

How would you like to have two hours free to do whatever you want?
It's not easy. As moms, we are constantly working on something, or busy taking care of someone else's needs.
Take planning your families meals and grocery shopping. How many hours do you think that you spend on that? My last count was three hours. That is three hours that I could definitely use to pamper myself.

Well, I think that I've found a solution! I'm going to try a weeks free meal plan and grocery list from Dine Without Whine this week to see how it all goes. They are giving away the plan here for free!
If you plan to join me, and you know you want to, go ahead and click on that link. You will be on your way to a few hours of pampered bliss in no time!

What Home Means To Me

Twittermoms wants to know what your definition of home is. To me, home is where my family is. As cliche as that may sound, it is true. I have moved 14 times in my 24 yrs of life. Well, that is 14 times that I can remember. With another move coming in October, it's safe to say that I've never had a place to call home.

Home has always been a hotel, an apartment, a town house, a house. Where ever the military has sent us, that has been home. It is all I've ever known, to some people it may seem 'unstable' to me, it's life.

Home is a place in my heart, when I am surrounded by the people I love, where ever we may be. It's not measured by square footage and architecture. The love that flows through our family will remain the same, no matter what country we may find ourselves in.

A photo of our current (third home) here in Germany. Date stamp is wrong, this was taken sometime in March 09. That is Ki'Nani playing in the back yard, our house is the white one and the darker one is the old horse stable.

Nanny Deprived Giveaway and Exclusive Discount *CLOSED*

"Embrace The Insanity Of Motherhood", that is the motto at Nanny Deprived. Motherhood is insane! Until I became a mother, I never once called up my friends to discuss poop before. And yet, nowadays when my friends and I get together for lunch, the topic of poop almost always ends up in our conversations. Yep, that's right...we discuss poop while we eat!

I'm sure you can relate, in one way or another, becoming a mom ironically strengthens our stomachs while completely obliterating our ab muscles. When I came across Nanny Deprived, I fell in love. FINALLY, here is a site that combines practical products that moms will actually use, with humor that only moms can understand!

Check out Mom Spit, which can be used to get rid of dirt, grease, ketchup, or any other yucky mess your child will inevitably pick up. Mom Spit comes in three scents, Unscented, Green Tea & Fig and Lemon and White Tea.

Whether you're a pro in the kitchen or your family has become accustomed to the taste of burnt food. There is no reason why you can't look absolutely gorgeous! I love these Retro Style Aprons! My favorite is this Pink Pears Apron, also seen on Desperate Housewives. Most styles have a matching childrens size. And all Aprons come in a matching keepsake envelope.

Just had a baby? Then you will love the Belly Bandit! The Belly Bandit can be used the day after delivery and for maximum benefits, should be worn at least 6-8 weeks after delivery. Even if you had your baby a year ago, the Belly Bandit helps with posture and provides extra back support.

Expecting? Nanny Deprived has you covered with this Phases of Labor Comfort Collection. Each product is scientifically and naturally formulated to help ease you through the three stages of labor.

Hands down, my favorite products at Nanny Deprived are their new line of Mommy Tee's! These tee's are funny and fashionable! Just what every Nanny Deprived mommy needs! With cute sayings like, "Moms: We Love the Nightlife", "Moms Rock All Night", "Is It Mother's Day Yet?", "Whine-No" and "MomTastic". You are sure to find a tee or two to fit your style. With proper treatment, these tees will withstand vomit, cereal, dirt and whatever unmentionables your children with throw at you.

So, you've gotten a taste for what Nanny Deprived has to offer and now you have the chance to win one of their fabulous Mommy T-shirts! Ready to start shopping now? Nanny Deprived is offering our awesome readers 15% off of purchases over $25.00!

Random Day

Today was a pretty random day. I was up all night working on a few rush orders and didn't get to bed until 12:30pm today! Can you believe it? I can't! We were supposed to go see President Obama, but we weren't sure of a time he would be in. I couldn't keep my eyes open long enough to wait, so we headed home. Bummer.

Right after David came home from work, we went outside to pick cherries from the tree in the backyard. The apples are starting to grow as well! Before we went to the backyard, Ki'Nani made the cutest face and I caught it on camera!

I took a few photos of the cherries before we picked them. Don't you love my photography skills! I keep bugging David to get me a decent camera.

Ki'Nani had a great time helping us pick cherries. Then she decided it would be fun to dump them all out of the bowl! This photo was taken just seconds before she got the bright idea!
